Rabine Paving
Rabine Paving was co-founded in 1981 by Gary L. Rabine and his son, Gary T. Rabine, as one small residential paving business in Northern Illinois. Built on hard work, hands-on service, and a willingness to take on the jobs others overlooked, the company grew by embracing new technology and investing in the right tools and talent. In the fall of 1993, Gary T. bought out his father’s stock in Rabine Paving and set the company on a path of rapid growth.
Since then, Gary and his partners have become an entrepreneurial engine of facilities services start-ups. Today, The Rabine Group is a family of specialized facilities services companies providing regional and nationwide solutions for commercial and industrial building owners and managers. The group includes seven paving businesses along with Rabine Roofing, Rabine Mechanical, Rabine Doors & Docks, and Rabine Snow Pros. Together, the Rabine Paving businesses make up America’s largest independently owned commercial paving organization.
Specializing in concrete and asphalt paving, maintenance, and consulting, we combine the strength of a national brand with the care of a local partner. Our team of civil engineers, pavement experts, and project managers uses detailed assessments, smart scoping, and budget-conscious planning to minimize downtime and maximize long-term return on investment.
For over forty-five years, our commitment to excellence and safety has driven our success and built lasting client relationships. As Chairman, Gary and his industry-leading partners continue to lead with a founder’s mindset, while many of our larger competitors are now dominated by non-founder private equity ownership.

Rabine University Founded
The Pavement Design Center was created to educate partners and clients on best practices and to allow our team to do our own research and development at our headquarters. Our parking lot has over 15 sections of pavement that our experts monitor and test. This gives our entire team the opportunity to have hands on experience with the lifecycle of various pavement types and thicknesses.

Rabine Paving and the Rabine Group makes the 2013 Fastest Growing Company list for the third year in a row by Crain’s Chicago Business. We were recognized because of our 5-year growth of 281%. Gary Rabine was then chosen to speak on a panel with other chosen company leaders to discuss their growth.
