World-Class Safety Record
Rabine values the safety of our clients, customers of our clients, team members and the public. Each Rabine company strives to be a leader in safety in their industries. Our industries include commercial paving, roofing, property maintenance services, site assessments, roller-compacted concrete, HVAC, doors and docks, and snow removal.
Our EMR of 0.84 puts us at the top of our industry as we continue to lead with safety. The experience modification rate (EMR) is determined by an in-depth formula comparing our worker’s compensation costs to other companies similar in size who operate in the same industry.
Safety Culture
At Rabine, safety is our top priority and first core value. We promote open communication, proactive hazard reporting, and a focus on prevention rather than just compliance. Our team is continually striving to improve our safety practices.
Continuing Education
Ongoing training ensures skills stay current and is a key pillar of safety success. Our safety officers facilitate toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings build awareness. They encourage a proactive approach to risk prevention and promote a culture of lifelong learning in safety.
Leadership
Safety is a way of life for our entire team. The Rabine leadership team takes responsibility by leading through example, process development, and training. Team members hold each other accountable for safety performance throughout the entire group of companies.
KPI Tracking
Our teams track leading and lagging safety indicators, monitor incident rates (TRIR, DART, LTIR) and benchmark performance against industry standards. This data is used to identify trends and drive improvements making sure everyone gets home safe.
Accountability
Everyone is responsible for maintaining a safe workplace. Setting clear expectations for safe behaviors and practices is key. We do this by document incidents, near misses, and responses. We address unsafe behaviors consistently and ensure that safety is a shared priority.
Site Assessments & Inspections
The safety team conducts regular site inspections to identify hazards. They evaluate equipment, work practices, and PPE usage while encouraging participation in assessments. Safety briefings are used to educate teams on findings, reinforce best practices, and ensure continuous improvement.
